The Gulfstream G550 is a business jet aircraft produced by General Dynamics' Gulfstream Aerospace unit in Savannah, Georgia. The certification designation is GV-SP. There were 450 Gulfstream G550s in active service as of January 2016. A version with reduced fuel capacity was marketed as the G500.

Therange increase is achieved by addition of a 1,486 lb (674 kg) fuel tank at the wing root. The Global Express 6000 entered service in early 2006.

Seating capacity is up to 19 passengers. The aircraft was announced on 25 October 2001 with the official launch on 5 February 2002, after a positive market assessment with letters of intent for 15 aircraft
